Hi Steve. Great to read your post and your discovery of hose (or just plain "tights" as we call them in the UK). I too thought I was a strictly lycra guy (I wear lycra shorts, tights, bib-shorts and bib-tights most days for running and cycling), but have recently been converted to hose too. The change came with a pair of Comfilon's mSkin Thermofabric Tights. These are made specifically for sportsmen, with extra room at the front for your bits or even a fly opening. They are slightly thicker and much tougher than nylon tights, and are much tighter on the legs. The result? You feel fantastic from the extra compression and you look fantastic in them. Yes, there is something additionally erotic about wearing footed tights, and I love wearing them to work under trousers and without socks. Everyone should try them at least once - the feeling is very different to lycra and very sexy. It's getting a bit mild in the UK now to be wearing such tights (and I'm looking forward to being out on the bike in lycra bib-shorts again), but I've had a great winter discovering them and I've got about 6 pairs now.
