Hey! My 1st post...but this is something that just struck me as so true and funny and I wouldn't believe it unless I saw and heard the entire exchange. I'm in the NYC/metro area and was coming home by subway and spotted a young couple that both seemed of Easter European heritage. I couldn't figure out if they were a couple or perhaps just frieds. The young guy (early 20's, tall, tan, lean with dark hair) was showing his female companion (attractive, tall, blonde) his new swimsuit from Century 21 (a shopping MUST/addiction if you're in NYC) It was a Dolce & Gabanna lycra squarecut. Tan and brown Hawaiian floral design. And her reaction was priceless...she was like "Wow, it's kinda skimpy..." and "It's gonna be kinda tight, isn't it? I mean it's nice but it's 'different' and you're really going to wear it?" She was totally baffled! He was so blase about it (as I think he should have been) but her intrigue was so, well, intriguing and I thought, "Gee, it's true what they say (on the board) about the odd and funny reaction you sometimes get about lycra and speedos." What was even more striking was that I thought lycra played better outside the USA. I, personally, just got a great Adidas squarecut and I'm just so comfortable in it and I don't think anything of it. So there's my post/story...Nothing too risque but an intesting anecdote.
