Keen observation!
The footballers have worn "pants" that have pogressed from tight cotton to polyester to nylon/polyester to lycra blends.
The funny thing...I remember when I was young and my partent were playing bridge with the Spielbergs, the old couple who owned Champion sportswear. They always would bring me and my brother irregulars from their plant, including what they called "football tights." The original makers of football "pants" referred to them as football tights. What wonder!
So let's call them what the originators called them...TIGHTS.
I'll admit I am adicted to college football, because the guys look hot in their football tights. I always look for jockstrap buttstraps which show through. That's really hot.
Thank God for manufacturers like the Spielbergs who make football tights!
