I went outside for a few smokes atop my 2nd floor stoop and noticed the mailman coming down the block, so decided to light up another one and wait for him. 17 degrees (Farenheit) here in NYC, royal blue sweatshirt and black/royal/purple hip hugging unlined squarecuts. One passerby yelled up to me "you'll catch cold like that!" and others just shook in their boots (literally) when they saw me. I go down the stoop to take the mail from him and upon seeing me, drops the (3) piles of neighbors' mail, the rubber bands breaking, and now loose mail is scattered all over the icy, snow covered sidewalk. I went back up inside with my mail like nothing happened but on 2nd thought, wish I had helped him pick it all up.
