I haven't bought ballet tights on line--yet. I've always bought mine from a local family-owned shop. I learned about the shop from a friend who used to work in theater locally, who told me that the theater community patronized the shop, as did men from the local dance companies (e.g., the Pennsylvania Ballet), so they were used to selling tights to men, not just to little girls who wanted to be ballerinas. :-) Also I have since learned that the son of the family was formerly a dancer.
