I am NOT a messenger myself but I know from the many I see in the city -- and the numerous executive office bldgs I work in (large and small), the messengers since 2001 haven't been seen in their full lycra glory. I am sure noone FORCED the issue but it must have become 'policy' for most (official messenger services and their clients). Perhaps distracting the receptionists while they're TRYING to handle calls and visitors ?!?!?!?
