Dear Bill, Welcome to the board and welcome to the wonderful world of spandex. Spandex is really fun to wear and quite erotic. You will most definitely find that out, if you haven't already. I can understand where you are coming from. I've been wearing spandex for years now, and there are places to where I still haven't worn it. But, if you want a great start, get some cycling wear and a bicycle, if you already don't have them. Cycle to your local park, grocery store, deli, gas station to buy a beverage. Being that the public sees that you have arrived on bike, they will understand your reason for wearing lycra. Plus, doing so, will build some confidence to wear it more often in public. The most daring place to date I have worn mine was at a barber shop. I walked in there with my blue Santini cylcing bib tights, cycling jacket, cycling helmet, and backpack. It felt great doing it. The barber didn't mention anything of it, nor did his previous customer. The only concern from the barber was if I had locked my bike. Of course, I arrived there on my bike and locked it up right in front of the shop. So, you see, it's not all that hard to wear lycra in public. I can understand the looks and stares you may get, but hey, that makes you more original than the next person. :) I hope you have alot of great experiences in your spandex!! --Hec
